The Cath Lab Technologist plays a crucial role in the cardiovascular catheterization laboratory, executing a variety of specialized tasks that include operating advanced radiographic fluoroscopic equipment during both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This position requires collaboration with physicians, technologists, and nursing staff to foster a welcoming and efficient environment within the lab.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Operation: Skillfully manage all radiographic fluoroscopic apparatus.
- Patient Care: Assist in the delivery of care during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Team Collaboration: Engage in shared call rotation and adapt to flexible shift schedules.
- Regulatory Compliance: Uphold all hospital and regulatory standards related to licensure and certification.
Shift Details: Monday to Friday; 8-hour shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
On-Call Requirements: Compensation of $4.00/hour while on call, with a minimum expectation of 8 shifts per month, including 1-2 weekends.
CompensationSalary: Determined by years of experience, ranging from entry-level to advanced expertise.
Minimum Qualifications- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) certification.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
- BLS certification on the first day or assigned by the Learning Center.
- ACLS certification within three months of hire.
- Minimum of one year of experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures in a cardiac or general catheterization setting.
- Experience in digital and cine imaging and archiving.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in:
- X-ray operation and monitoring.
- Scrubbing techniques during procedures.
This position emphasizes a consistently positive, cooperative, and professional demeanor, essential for maintaining effective teamwork and a supportive work environment.
