We seek experienced and qualified nurses to fill our Med-Surg Travel RN position in Lawton, OK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assess patients and collect current symptoms, as well as a detailed patient history.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Perform triage, considering both physical and psychosocial elements.
  • Manage basic life support needs and stabilize patients until the attending physician is available.
  • Record patients' current vital signs and work directly under physicians, assisting them during exams, diagnostic testing, and treatments.
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
  • Provide IV therapy, basic bedside care, and maintain proper supplies and equipment.
  • Work effectively with the healthcare team and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Med-Surg RN.
  • Recent traveler experience is highly preferred.
  • Profile Requirements: Work History, Skills Checklist, Supervisory Reference Forms, Licensure & Certifications, and Candidates' Permanent Address.

Certification and State License Requirements:

  • BLS (AHA) and NIH certifications.
  • Oklahoma state license or compact.

Work Schedule:

  • Every other weekend.
  • No call.
