About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Dialysis RN to join our team at Travel Nurse Source. As a Dialysis Nurse, you will provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients with end-stage renal disease, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the dialysis process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer dialysis treatments, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, to patients with renal failure.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, medical information, and dialysis equipment to ensure accurate and safe treatment.
  • Prime dialyzers and bloodlines, and oversee the dialysis treatment from start to finish.
  • Administer medications, including thrombolytic agents, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Clean and dress permanent and temporary catheters, and secure/draw blood samples as needed.
  • Teach patients and their families about post-treatment care, diet, and medication management.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and inventory of supplies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current nursing license in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year of dialysis experience.
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certification.
