Epic Systems Trainer

As a Revenue Cycle Credentialed Trainer at Carle Health, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training curriculums and materials for the Revenue Cycle Department. This includes conducting training sessions through various venues, such as classroom, live meetings, and e-learning. You will also support the build and development of training environments, including system unit testing and integrated testing relative to system upgrades and updates. Additionally, you may provide management for long-term projects through each phase until completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess educational needs and develop educational programs for staff
* Communicate with Revenue Cycle and Patient Care staff to encourage participation in educational opportunities
* Provide system/software program training, resources, and support for staff for operational enhancement
* Draft reference materials and assist with documentation for training courses to prepare staff for effective system use
* Conduct standard and ad hoc educational in-services at the department level
* Share responsibility for ongoing support of revenue software training applications
* Assess and assist with system updates regarding the modules related to the Revenue Cycle
* Assess and assemble appropriate educational resources for personal use and for availability to others
* Mentor new staff and assess and report their progress to the appropriate Manager or Supervisor
* Provide support for 24 x 7 environments
* Schedule training classes, including rooms and equipment
* Be responsible for education of inter-department/inter-organizational staff when appropriate
* Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge or resource regarding the functionality of all modules in the billing systems
* Assist with the development and testing of 3rd party systems housed outside of the revenue cycle with regards to billing charge files and master files
Requirements:
* Associated Degree in a related field of science, learning, or computer applications
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* Credentialed in Epic module or applications within 3 months of hire
* A minimum of 2 years experience with program development and instructional design
* Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
