Job Summary

Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Manager to join our team. As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of our multifamily properties, including rent collection, marketing, maintenance, resident relations, and staffing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce property management policies and procedures, community rules and regulations, and lease terms.
  • Achieve property goals and objectives.
  • Comply with Washington state residential Landlord & Tenant Act and other governmental laws and regulations.
  • Report safety or health hazards and unusual events to supervisor.
  • Operate the property within budgeted guidelines.
  • Ensure all services and work are completed as contracted prior to approval of invoices.
  • Approve and submit property invoices for payment.
  • Ensure site employees promote high standards of professional appearance and positive relationships with residents, owners, co-workers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Respond to resident requests and work orders, and implement resident retention programs.
  • Monitor and verify applicant qualifications for the waiting list.
  • Assist in budget preparation and tracking.
  • Conduct move-in inspections and complete condition checklists.
  • Inspect the property daily, including common areas, parking lots, and vacant apartments.
  • Verify and recertify resident income, assets, and deductions.
  • Prepare and distribute financial, leasing, and other related reports and documents.
  • Maintain accurate and complete resident, unit, and property records.
  • Collaborate with the Residential Services Coordinator to ensure resident services and property management are compatibly carried out.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Prior working experience in the property management field.
  • Demonstrated computer, accounting, and clerical skills.
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe and property management software applications.
  • Knowledge of pertinent Federal, State, and local codes, laws, and regulations.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
  • Basic Math skills.
  • Ability to receive and follow written instructions.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required.
