About the Role:

The Surgical Tech OR administers direct patient care and functions as a healthcare team member, performing skills and procedures under the direction of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Performs prescribed treatments according to established policies and procedures.
  • Follows established policies and procedures for administration and documentation of medications.
  • Prepares and cares for equipment, returns supplies as necessary.
  • Correctly labels and reports broken equipment.
  • Intervenes with proper technique and utilizes procedures and safety precautions to maintain patient and personal safety in the environment of care.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic and sterile technique and principles of isolation according to policy and procedure.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Surgical Tech Program.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
  • Licenses and Certifications Preferred: 1. Certified Surgical Technologist.
