We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at South Shore Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiological mammography exams, including needle localization and biopsy films, with a focus on delivering accurate and timely results.
- Assist clerical staff in maintaining records and files, ensuring seamless communication and data management.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to maintain and improve imaging standards.
- Contribute to a culture of safety by adhering to hospital policies and procedures, reporting hazards and equipment malfunctions, and promoting a safe work environment.
- Graduate of an approved Radiology program.
- One year of general radiography experience, with a preference for mammography experience.
- Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) in Massachusetts.
- ARRT (M) certification, with a commitment to maintaining 24 CEUs over 24 months.
- Ability to perform 200 mammograms over a 24-month period.
