Job Overview

The Merchandiser is a key role within our organization, responsible for creating an engaging and attractive retail environment that showcases our products in a compelling way. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fills, merchandises, and rotates products on display and the shelf according to established procedures and special programs.
  • Physically moves products from the backroom and places them on display, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized store environment.
  • Creates and distributes point-of-sale materials, such as signs and displays, to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Rotates product, fills and merchandises Fastlane merchandisers and vendors, and checks vendor equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Organizes and maintains the backroom by stacking and arranging products, arranging returns, and disposing of damaged or expired products.
  • Fosters business relationships with store personnel through regular follow-up, proactive pricing, special programs, and new opportunities discussions.
Requirements
  • Effective communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Prior customer service experience in a retail setting is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs. repetitively).
  • Reliable and independent work ethic with minimal daily supervision.
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to problem-solve.
  • Company-provided cell phone.
Work Environment

The work environment will vary, including exposure to weather conditions, coolers, and customer storage areas which may be non-temperature controlled.
