Position Overview:
Join the expanding transportation team at VPNE Parking Solutions as a Shuttle Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of employees and clients from designated parking areas to their respective locations.
The Shuttle Operator is expected to deliver outstanding service while prioritizing safety. You will also be tasked with ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean, well-maintained, and adheres to company standards and branding.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6 AM - 10 AM & 2 PM - 6 PM
Compensation:
$25 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold safety protocols while transporting passengers to their destinations.
- Ensure the vehicle complies with all safety regulations and is maintained according to the service schedule.
- Adhere to traffic laws and maintain safe driving speeds.
- Verify that all passengers are authorized to board the shuttle.
- Maintain a punctual schedule to minimize delays.
- Provide a positive experience for all passengers.
- Address and resolve any issues promptly.
- Embody the Exceptional Care philosophy in all interactions.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with managers and passengers, whether in person or via radio.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months of professional driving experience.
Language Proficiency:
- Must be proficient in English, both spoken and written.
Educational Background:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid CDL class A, B, or C with Passenger Endorsement.
- Updated Medical Certificate and DPU Certification are mandatory.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Capacity to sit for extended periods and walk short distances.
- Manual dexterity to operate a shuttle bus safely.
- Must hold a valid Driver's License in the state of residence.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Willingness to maintain a positive demeanor during all customer interactions.
- Adherence to uniform standards while on duty.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Driving record must meet company standards.
- Ability to pass the company’s driving assessment.
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers.
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
