Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - PRN with the University of Maryland Medical System, you will conduct general and vascular ultrasound examinations to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data. You will review results for quality and completeness, refer to a physician for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct general and vascular ultrasound examinations
• Review results for quality and completeness
• Refer to physician for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment

Qualifications:

• RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
• Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• 3 or more years of experience
• One year performing general and vascular exams

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of ICD-9 (Medical Coding)
• Basic knowledge and working experience with Medical Terminology
