Position Overview:

The IRC is at the forefront of providing exceptional programming for refugees resettling in the United States. We are committed to creating innovative initiatives that cater to the unique strengths and needs of refugees, utilizing our insights to influence policy and practice while promoting best practices in refugee service delivery.

We are currently seeking a Program Manager for Monitoring and Evaluation for our Switchboard initiative, a resource hub funded by the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). Switchboard serves as a comprehensive resource for refugee service providers across the United States, offering training and capacity-building services to various organizations involved in refugee resettlement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and facilitate engaging learning opportunities, including online courses, webinars, and in-person training focused on monitoring and evaluation.
  • Create informative written resources such as blog articles, guides, and toolkits on monitoring and evaluation topics.
  • Provide technical assistance to the M&E team by responding to inquiries and offering guidance to refugee service providers.
  • Coordinate the M&E Community of Practice to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to annual projects, including needs assessments and evaluations.
  • Support internal monitoring and evaluation efforts within the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Research, Analysis, and Learning (RAL) team on M&E priorities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Experience in creating educational materials.
  • A strong commitment to data-driven programming.
  • Experience in implementing M&E systems, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Personal experience with forced displacement or a shared background with newcomer populations.
  • Proficiency in technology, including MS Office Suite and Learning Management Systems.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with M&E in ORR-funded refugee resettlement programs.
  • Familiarity with participatory M&E approaches and client feedback integration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.

Work Environment:

  • This position may be remote or based in a standard office environment, with occasional domestic travel required.
