Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated District Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to students, staff, and families, while also promoting health education and wellness initiatives throughout the district.
Responsibilities- Provide medical care and services to students, staff, and families, including first aid, wound care, and medication administration.
- Develop and implement health education programs for students, staff, and families, focusing on topics such as nutrition, physical activity, and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student health and wellness.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments, including vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings.
- Develop and maintain accurate and confidential health records for students and staff.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to ensure that health needs are met and concerns are addressed.
- Possession of a School Nurse Services credential or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
- Possession of an audiometry credential or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
