About the Role

RTX is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant machinery and facilities equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair plant machinery and facilities equipment.
  • Control downtime and monitor equipment performance.
  • Repair or fabricate parts by using standard machine shop equipment.
  • Isolate faults and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical problems.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and production machinery.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors for machine spares and maintain adequate critical spare parts.
  • Respond to call backs for machine recovery at all times if needed.
  • Interpret technical drawings and make modifications and improvements on machines performance.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and procure quotes.
  • Update daily work reports in CMMS systems and run order reports for maintenance stores.
  • Support and participate in Employee Health & Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement activities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
