Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Charlotte Radiology. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing technical activities associated with screening mammography procedures to obtain high-quality images of the breasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mammographic and other imaging equipment/devices in accordance with organizational protocols.
  • Position patients, using immobilization when necessary.
  • Evaluate radiographs for image quality, adjusting position, density, or contrast and obtaining additional images as needed.
  • Explain screening procedures to patients.
  • Prepare exam rooms and equipment for studies, ensuring cleanliness and adequate stock/inventory of clinical supplies.
  • Obtain, verify, and document all pertinent information for patient visits, including patient clinical history and prior imaging.
  • Identify care requirements relative to each patient's age-specific needs.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protective devices to comply with government regulations and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new Mammography Technician I's.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT certification in radiography.
  • ARRT advanced certification in mammography must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
  • BLS CPR certification.
  • 1-3 years of Mammography experience preferred.
Working Conditions

This role requires primarily walking and standing, with the ability to lift up to 25lbs. The role may be exposed to radiation, infectious disease, and bloodborne pathogens.
