Medical Scheduler/Client Care Specialist

FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers is seeking a highly skilled Medical Scheduler/Client Care Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Scheduler/Client Care Specialist, you will be responsible for handling patient scheduling, appointments, and multi-phone line responsibilities. You will also be responsible for gathering new patient data, keeping track of all patient referrals, disseminating information to patients, and acting as a go-between for patients and physicians. Additionally, you will be responsible for sending and keeping a log of all reports sent to doctors, collecting all patient payments, tracking insurance-covered visits, answering phones, and acting as a patient liaison. You will also be responsible for answering and checking clinic email, either responding to inquiries or directing them to appropriate personnel. Furthermore, you will be responsible for recording when appointments have been filled or canceled, emailing or noting to scheduled therapists the reason for cancellation and indicating if the patient has rescheduled. You will also be responsible for telephoning or writing patients to remind them of appointments, greeting and directing all patients, salespeople, and visitors, faxing reports to physicians, and keeping a log of incoming reports. You will also be responsible for updating and keeping track of company tracking forms/spreadsheets and logs. The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree or higher, a minimum of one year of experience in a medical setting, preferably in a reception role. The candidate should also have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. The candidate should be a great communicator and multitasker, detail-oriented, and have a positive attitude, good work ethic, integrity, and empathy towards people in pain. The candidate should also be excellent at handling details, communicating, and multitasking, have a great demeanor, strong integrity, and compassion. Previous experience in a similar position is preferred. The candidate should be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage completing demands, and be able to cover at other locations if necessary. The candidate should also be consistently at work on time, ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent, and arrive at meetings and appointments on time. The candidate should follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility for their actions, keep commitments, commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals, and complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan. The candidate should also volunteer readily, undertake self-development activities, seek increased responsibilities, take independent actions and calculated risks, look for and take advantage of opportunities, and ask for and offer help when needed.
