About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Care Specialist to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living in Annapolis. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.

Job Summary

The Medication Care Specialist is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents in a safe and organized manner. This includes reviewing medication lists, preparing medications for administration, and documenting resident information.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments to residents according to their individualized plans of care.
  • Review medication lists and update as necessary to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare medications for administration, including counting pills, mixing liquids, and labeling containers.
  • Document resident information, including medication administration records, allergies, and medical history.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certification in medication management or a related field (e.g., Certified Medication Aide, Certified Pharmacy Technician).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in a long-term care setting, preferably with a focus on medication management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
