Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Supervisor Lead to join our team at The Pioneer. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of our newspaper printing facility, while ensuring timely and accurate completion of all production tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the evening operations of printing, mailing, packaging, and bindery, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
  • Equipment Oversight: Manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of key equipment such as the SLS 1000 Inserter, Kansa Inserter, and Muller Martini Saddle Stitcher.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet organizational standards and client expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on efficiency and excellence.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in printing, packaging, or related operations management.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment quickly.
  • Excellent leadership skills, capable of managing and inspiring a team.
