Qualifications and Requirements
Licensure and Certification:
Must hold certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and/or the American Nursing Credentialing Center (AACC).
Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the Mississippi Board of Nursing is mandatory.
Preferred Experience:
At least one year of experience in a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant role is preferred.
Experience in Orthopedic care is also preferred.
Documentation Required:
Applicants must submit copies of valid nursing licenses, certifications from AANP and/or AACC, and proof of certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the Mississippi State Board of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments and providing treatment for urgent care conditions and injuries.
- Performing diagnostic evaluations and treatment procedures.
- Managing clinic operations with occasional exposure to surgical procedures.
- Gathering patient histories, conducting physical examinations, formulating diagnoses, and developing treatment plans.
- Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions.
- Establishing follow-up care plans.
- Evaluating patients' health requirements.
- Collaborating with consulting physicians in a team-oriented environment.
- Functioning independently within the scope of practice for the clinic.
