Gastroenterology Health Specialist for Albany, NY

Welcome to Allied Digestive Health. We are seeking a Full-time Gastroenterology Health Specialist to join our team at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants in Albany, NY.
About the RoleThis is an outpatient and inpatient position with hospitalist or strong Primary Care experience required. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing health problems and coordinating patient care in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who is responsible for assessing health status, developing treatment plans, implementing treatment plans, and evaluating patient status and clinical management.
- They must comply with standards of care, including assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management.
- Responsibilities include performing duties accurately in a timely and efficient manner, demonstrating exemplary patient service skills and displaying courteousness and respect, and maintaining a sharp attention to detail.
- Other responsibilities include excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer skills in Electronic medical records and MS Office, time management skills, organizational skills, knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA Laws, and safeguarding these guidelines.
- A graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Candidates must hold current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure in NY in good standing.
- Current DEA certificate also required.
