Culinary Specialist

Oaks Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meals to our residents, while maintaining a clean and sanitized dining service area.
Responsibilities:- Assist with food preparation, serving, and handling in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized dining service area, including the receiving, rotation, and storage of products.
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and special diets as directed by the Food Service Director.
- Present food in an appetizing and attractive manner, while fostering residents' independence with eating.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and coordinate food service for special events as requested.
- Notify the Food Service Director or Lead Cook of any malfunctioning kitchen equipment or appliances.
- Experience in cooking for large groups.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Desire to work with older adults and a friendly, caring disposition.
- Must be 18 years of age and have a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Must have a physical exam by a licensed physician and a negative drug screen.
- Must be able to react in an emergency situation.
