Job Title: Diesel Technician

At Transteck Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles, promoting sales of labor, parts, and accessories, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the cause of malfunction using manufacturer-approved troubleshooting guides, test drives, or online manuals.
  • Promote sales of labor, parts, and accessories to meet customer needs.
  • Perform requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment.
  • Document work performed and applicable technical information.
  • Obtain approval before proceeding with additional work.
  • Clean all parts worked on and keep customer vehicles clean.
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of personal work area.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Order parts according to dealership procedures.
  • Tag all warranty parts and return dirty cores to Parts in a timely manner.
  • Perform repairs in a timely manner set by manufacturer standard repair time guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license (automotive and CDL).
  • State inspection license (preferred).
  • Must meet minimum tool list.
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily a shop environment with heavy machinery and equipment operation.
  • A good deal of work in all types of weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting/standing/walking requirements.
  • Talking/hearing/vision requirements.
  • Pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying requirements.
