Position Overview
The Senior Supply Chain Strategist II (Renewable Energy) plays a vital role within ENGIE North America Inc.'s Engineering and Delivery team, focusing on the selection and acquisition of significant category equipment for various projects. This position primarily emphasizes large-scale procurement related to battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind turbine generators (WTGs), and the broader Renewable Energy supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
In this capacity, the Supply Chain Strategist will:

  • Engage with suppliers to gather and comprehend both commercial and technical data essential for project validation, system architecture, and levelized cost of energy (LCOE) assessments.
  • Contribute to the establishment of strategic supply partnerships for ENGIE Renewables, aiming to secure and enhance the organization's competitive edge.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts to ensure the procurement of selected equipment, collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize solutions and capture valuable insights.
  • Support the management of requests for quotes and information as necessary.
  • Oversee vendor delivery and performance, facilitate lessons learned, and disseminate critical information to other internal teams.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, contracts, negotiations, procurement, business administration, technical specifications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Renewable Energy sector within a supply chain role.
  • A solid understanding of technical product specifications, along with experience in commercial negotiations, contracting, and financial principles.
  • Proven ability to be both a self-starter and a collaborative team player, with a focus on optimizing business processes.
  • Strong relationship management skills and effective communication abilities, capable of collaborating with senior management.
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with procurement systems and software for supply chain management (e.g., SAP, Ariba, or Coupa).

Additional Information
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement and may require domestic travel up to 20% of the time, including some overnight trips. Compliance with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $74,500 - $114,195 USD annually. This range represents the average expected pay for a qualified candidate, with actual salary depending on various factors such as geography, experience, and education. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
