Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Yard Specialist to join our team at Carter Lumber. As a key member of our yard team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient selection and loading of materials for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist contractors and DIYers with material selection and loading
  • Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery
  • Conduct cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Ensure the yard is organized and clean
  • Operate a forklift and obtain certification if necessary

Requirements:

  • Part-time position
  • Customer service experience
  • Friendly and approachable personality
  • Familiarity with building materials is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
