We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at GSS MN Pine River, located in the heart of Pine River, Minnesota. As a valued member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in delivering resident-centered care and daily living assistance to our residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
About the Role:
The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long-term care. The primary responsibility is to provide age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per the care plan. This role requires a strong understanding of infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use. Key Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
- Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have a High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. A minimum age of 16 is also required. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
