The NDT Assistant plays a vital role in assisting Level II NDE Technicians with designated activities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain experience and knowledge in the field of Non-Destructive Testing.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist technicians with setting up and tearing down of equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, calibrations, and overall upkeep of equipment and facilities
  • Assist with proper documentation and reports of services provided
  • Learn and abide by company policies and procedures

Responsibilities Specific to Radiography:

  • May only operate radiographic equipment under direct visual watch and supervision of a radiographer or radiographic instructor
  • Maintain constant surveillance and immediate control of industrial radiographic equipment at all times while in use
  • Secure industrial radiographic equipment from unauthorized removal at all times
  • Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering restricted areas while industrial radiographic equipment is in use
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to communicate with clients, supervisors, and coworkers

Physical Demands:

  • Field duties require outdoor work in a plant/refinery environment
  • Working in plant and/or refinery environment production machinery with extreme noise levels
  • Able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department
