Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan of Care: Adhere to a structured plan of care that incorporates measurable goals, considering the psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual aspects of each patient.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate records that comply with professional guidelines and ensure timely billing for services rendered.
  • Education: Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers to promote independence and facilitate a smooth transition upon discharge.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive treatment and effective patient outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance your skills and contribute to program development.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate from a nationally-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience is preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Licensure: Must be eligible for licensure with the New Mexico State Physical Therapy Board and possess current BLS certification prior to starting.
Schedule

Flexibility to work occasional weekends may be required.
