Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of a registered nurse, the Hospice Aide will:
- Deliver personal direct patient care as outlined in the Plan of Care.
- Report patient conditions or changes to the Executive Director or designated personnel.
- Assist with essential Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) during each patient visit, including:
- Mobility and transfers
- Grooming and bathing
- Dressing and undressing
- Feeding and toileting
- Perform necessary household tasks that support the patient's health care at home.
- Participate in the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) process by identifying issues and reporting them as needed.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A successful completion of a competency evaluation prior to patient care.
- Current CPR certification.
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate will be mature and capable of effectively managing the demands of a hospice aide role. Proficiency in reading, writing, and following directions promptly and accurately is essential.
