About the Role

Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, and light and follow-up repairs on various types of truck equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, and other components of medium to heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Conduct certified DOT inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, and sales team to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and discuss work to be performed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and meet Cox Automotive Mobility minimum driving qualification standards.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as Power Technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.
