About the Role
Curtis Lumber is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join our team in the Project Center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in managing all retail lumber and building material sales, operations, and staff to ensure growth and achievement of short- and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations, including sales, customer service, and staff management.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase employee engagement.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of sales and operations staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and employee performance to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and implement business plans, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and performance.
- Assist with employee relations, including resolving conflicts, addressing performance issues, and providing support for employee development.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retail sales, operations, or management.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and increasing employee engagement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
