- Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group.
- Provide engineering direction and guidance for the project team.
- Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction.
- Oversee mechanical load calculations.
- Complete the project within the budget and schedule.
- Utilize knowledge of other disciplines and direct interdisciplinary coordination.
- Edit/write specifications; provide input into standards.
- Apply knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and mechanical engineering design principles.
- Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection.
- Provide opinions of probable construction costs.
- Perform site visits and issue reports.
- Implement the project quality management plan (QMP).
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering for discipline work.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years related work in the AEC industry/built environment required.
- Advanced understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Energy Modeling.
- Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverables.
- Develop the ability to assemble and run a team.
- Strong delegation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thorough understanding of AutoCAD/Revit.
PAE Consulting offers a competitive compensation package, including a hiring base salary range of $87,000 - $116,000 annual. This position is eligible for straight time overtime pay. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including performance bonus, employer-paid health insurance, 401k account contribution, professional development reimbursements, hybrid work cadence with commuter benefit, cell phone stipend, life insurance, and disability benefits.
