Nurse in Stroke Unit Role with Banner Health

Banner Health offers an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to join our team at the Banner Baywood Medical Center, a 342-bed hospital serving the East Valley communities of metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona.

As a Registered Nurse in our Neuro Progressive Care Unit, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled team providing care for patients suffering from strokes and related illnesses.
This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy learning and expanding their skills across various areas. You will have the chance to participate in a multidisciplinary team environment, working closely with physicians, other healthcare providers, and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
The Neuro Progressive Care Unit is a three-wing, 74-bed unit that provides acute care for stroke and neuro patients, as well as cardiac, medical, and post-surgical patients. We offer a warm unit culture and are committed to training and mentoring our nurses to ensure their success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and healthcare teams.
2. Implement care plans through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities.
3. Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
4. Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting continuity of care and ensuring a smooth transition to other levels of care.

Requirements:
- Current, valid RN license in the state of practice or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
- BLS certification required; additional certifications or continuing education may be necessary based on area of practice.
- Experience in acute care settings, particularly in neuroscience or critical care, is desirable.
