Overview: The Chief Engineer for Systems Engineering within the Central & Digital Engineering Department plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, standards, processes, and training necessary to propel Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Transformation at Elbit Systems. This position serves as the domain representative in various technical discussions, endorses process modifications, and guarantees adherence to established processes. The Chief Engineer may directly or indirectly lead teams to achieve exceptional business results.
This is a #Hybrid role (T, W, TH in office) and candidates must be local to designated locations. Relocation assistance is available.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and implement the strategic plan for the domain, ensuring alignment with product strategies where relevant. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster process excellence and implement MBSE and Digital Engineering capabilities. Evaluate engineering requirements and define digitally transformed processes to achieve superior outcomes. Assist in project planning, risk evaluation, and effectively communicate potential risks and opportunities. Identify and address domain needs, promoting a collaborative team atmosphere. Cultivate a culture of accountability and engineering excellence, monitoring performance and refining processes as necessary. Remove obstacles and enhance agility within the development workflow. Mentor junior engineers and remain informed on industry standards and emerging technologies.Leadership Expectations:

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or a relevant technical field. 15+ years of professional experience. Capability to obtain a US DOD Secret Level Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics. 8+ years of professional experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense sector. INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification (CSEP).Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proven experience in Systems Engineering activities (architecture development, requirement development, trade studies, design reviews, verification, integration, testing, qualification, sustainment, etc.) for advanced Aerospace and Defense products. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and team leadership skills, with the ability to lead through influence. Expertise in requirement development and management using DOORS/Jama. Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools (Cameo preferred). Experience with configuration management, data management, and product lifecycle management. Experience in implementing enterprise-wide Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and principles, transforming organizational culture. Familiarity with developing products to Open Architectures (MOSA, SOSA, FACE, GCIA, WOSA, etc.) standards. Experience with Government Reference Architectures. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing key stakeholders.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Experience collaborating with cross-functional design and production teams in a Digital Engineering Ecosystem. Familiarity with 3DEXPERIENCE as a Digital Engineering Backbone and Product Lifecycle Management system. Experience performing Virtual Verification of requirements. Experience with modeling and simulation in ANSYS/MATLAB. Expertise in strategic planning, roadmap development, product/solution architecture, business capture, proposal development, agile processes, risk & opportunity management, earned value management, and project execution. Experience with EMD, Production, and Sustainment programs.#LI-NZ1
