Nurse in Medical Surgical Step-Down Unit with Competitive Salary

Our 13-bed Medical Surgical Step-Down Unit (SDU) is a dynamic and supportive environment for dedicated Registered Nurses. We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of conditions including respiratory failure with BiPAP, sepsis management, severe electrolyte imbalances, and post-surgery management of thoracotomies/VATS, wedge resections, vascular procedures, and more.
About Our TeamWe offer a competitive salary of $30k per year, along with eligible shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3-4, ensuring each patient receives personalized attention and support throughout their journey to recovery.
Job Description- As a Registered Nurse in our SDU, you will be scheduled to work 3 -12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week, considered full time) with start/end times of 7:00PM-7:30AM, including holiday and weekend rotations.
- An Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) is required, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Within 6 months of hire, you must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Don't worry, we provide training and time to acquire certification after employment.
In addition to competitive compensation, select RN positions are eligible for a $37,500 signing bonus. With more than 2,100 employees, 225 physicians on medical staff, and 250 volunteers, we are a 225-bed not-for-profit facility providing emergency and surgical services, as well as comprehensive care in numerous specialty areas.
