Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health System. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures in the application of radionuclides.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate Nuclear Medicine equipment, including Gamma cameras, Thyroid Uptake probe, dose calibrator, and Geiger counter.
- Produce diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist.
- Perform calibrations and Quality Control procedures, and maintain proper maintenance of required records.
- Prepare and inject or orally administer radionuclides to patients.
- Identify patients and procedures, and maintain dose logs and properly dispose of radioactive waste.
- Adhere to Radiation safety, Infection Control, and all other safety regulations.
- Enter proper exam codes into the Radiology Information System, and arrive and complete exams in a timely manner.
- Assist in care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies, and report any equipment problems or malfunctions to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Instruct and supervise Nuclear Medicine students in clinical practice.
- Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related health field.
- Nuclear Medicine permit issued by NYS Department of Health.
- New York State license in Nuclear Medicine.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- 1-2 years of Nuclear Technologist experience.
