About the Role

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cancer treatment program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver prescribed radiation therapy to patients according to established standards and practices.
  • Check prescriptions, diagnoses, and patient information to ensure accurate treatment.
  • Schedule patients and explain procedures pre- and post-treatment.
  • Interface with physicists, dosimetrists, and mold technicians as needed.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and equipment according to prescriptions and patient needs.
  • Document patient assessments, treatment records, and other pertinent information.
  • Perform weekly check films and process and file same.
  • Reinforce recommendations given to patients by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Detect and report equipment malfunctions to chief therapists, physicists, and radiation oncologists.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience as a radiation therapist preferred.
  • Completion of a course in radiation therapy.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to keep confidential information regarding patients and team members.
  • Able to withstand crisis situations.
  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification.
  • Delaware State Radiation license.
