Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiac and thoracic conditions, including post-operative care and management of cardiac telemetry.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care strategies.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data to inform care decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care, with a focus on cardiac and thoracic nursing.
  • Proficiency in reading Tele Strips and strong cardiac telemetry skills.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred experience in cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, and medical treatment of cardiology conditions.
