Residential Counselor

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at Triple C Housing. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their goals and live independently with dignity.

• Assist consumers in accessing and maintaining quality rehabilitative support services.
• Develop and implement Individual Recovery Plans to promote consumer independence.
• Provide hands-on support and supervision to consumers in daily living activities, including cleanliness, personal hygiene, money management, and household responsibilities.
• Encourage family and natural supports to promote consumer well-being.
• Monitor consumer progress and adjust service plans as necessary.
• Document observations and communicate information to the Program Coordinator, RN, and treatment team.
• Provide crisis intervention services and participate in service coordination.
• Prepare required documentation, including case notes, weekly progress notes, and recovery plans.
• Complete required billing documentation and participate in special consumer-related functions.

• Bachelor's degree in mental health or human services from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience/education.
• Prior hands-on experience in the field is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to navigate technology.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license in the state of residence and driving record in compliance with Agency policy.

• Use of standard office equipment.
• Proper and safe use of everyday household items.
• Moderate physical effort to assist consumers in home environments with daily living activities.
• Some lifting may be required, in addition to walking, sitting, stooping, standing, bending, and driving.

• Ability to work with difficult situations and handle matters with sound judgment and discretion.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to exercise critical thinking skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English; bilingual a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize accordingly in a changing environment.
• Demonstrate and promote cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
