About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Seafood Clerk to join our team at Albertsons. As a key member of our seafood department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide top-notch customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Handle and process seafood products, including cutting, weighing, wrapping, and packaging for sale.
- Follow division guidelines for merchandising and COOL compliance, ensuring accurate and timely product placement and labeling.
- Operate electronic scanning scales to record weights and prices of packaged items.
- Maintain a clean and organized seafood area, including wiping up spills, cleaning surfaces, and equipment.
- Restock displays, ensure expired items are removed, and follow markdown policies.
- Perform daily temperature and tare checks, as well as COOL compliance.
- Assist with making signs and tags for displays as needed.
- Monitor inter-office mail and company web pages for updated information.
- Ability to follow company customer service procedures and provide exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to interact with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to operate a scale and perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions.
- Ability to multitask, work under stress, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to make decisions and work independently.

- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to maintain a food handlers license/training where required.
