Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Infusion Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide patient-centered care and be responsible for nursing assessment and diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities:- Assess physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and evaluate patients' adaptation to health changes
- Develop a plan of care based on patients' disease, symptoms, and response to treatment
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on disease processes, treatment, side effects, and symptom management
- Coordinate with inter-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
- Implement, evaluate, and modify plan of care
- Integrate research and evidence-based knowledge into clinical practice
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS AHA Health Provider Card (or equivalent course)
- ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card (required within 3 months of hire)
- Critical thinking and ability to develop clinical judgment
- Time Management skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Certification in oncology or specialty practice area
- 2 years of RN Oncology experience in an ambulatory infusion setting
