Assembly Craftsman

Kitchen Cabinet Distributors (KCD) is a leading provider of stock cabinetry solutions in the United States. We are seeking a skilled Assembly Craftsman to join our team.

The successful candidate will assemble customized cabinets and supporting products that meet customer specifications for shipment. Key responsibilities include examining specifications, assembling work pieces, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Examine customer specifications to determine characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
• Assemble work pieces as determined by work order specifications, retrieving correct materials and performing various fabrication duties.
• Ensure products meet desired standards through visual examination and use of tape rule, calipers, or gauges.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience with assembly shop equipment and woodworking.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. individually and up to 160 lbs. with a team lift in a physical environment.
• HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Work Environment:

• Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment.
• Comfortable environment with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes.
