Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Med Surg will assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for reactions and side effects.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- AHA BLS certification prior to end of orientation period.
