Culinary Artist

We're seeking an experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. You'll be passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good quality food, and you'll be able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.

• Food Safety and Quality: Inspect and clean food preparation areas, including equipment and work surfaces or serving areas, to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
• Food Handling and Storage: Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock F.I.F.O.
• Cooking and Preparation: Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience, and turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
• Guest Service: Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism.
• Attendance and Punctuality: Be on time for all shifts scheduled, and do not call off or be late in the first 30 days without a doctor's note and communication at least 24 hours in advance.

• Experience: Previous experience as a restaurant cook.
• Certification: ServeSafe or Food Handlers certification (or must be willing to attain).
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work standing for 8+ hours.
• Teamwork: Ability to be taught, and follow through every day the same way taught.
• Recipe Knowledge: Must be able to read and follow all recipes.
• Catering and Takeout: Must know catering (bulk orders), takeout, dine-in, and 3rd party ordering and how to timely handle such.
