Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing infrastructure projects that enhance the functionality and livability of communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a team of engineers and designers in the development of civil designs, preparation of plans and specifications, and reports.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and professionals to ensure compatibility with design intent.
  • Perform field work and construction observation under the supervision of a senior engineer or construction manager.
  • Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information, and prepare site observation reports.
  • Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and contractors.
  • Analyze proposed project solutions to ensure reliability, sustainability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Utilize three-dimensional technologies and modeling software in development, design, and analysis of civil systems.
  • Compute and review cost estimates for project feasibility, budgeting, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Collect and analyze data and perform calculations that support civil system design decisions and development process.
  • Interpret and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and successful completion of the EIT exam or the ability to take the EIT exam within six months of starting.
  • Related co-op/internship experience preferred for new graduates; 1-2 years of related civil engineering experience for more experienced engineers.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and contractors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
