Environmental Remediation Specialist

Clean Harbors is the leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. With a strong commitment to health and safety, we are seeking an Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our team.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of site remediation, equipment decontamination and hazardous material handling are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. This includes:

• Ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Safely operating vehicles and equipment
• Performing physical tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up and site remediation
• Handling hazardous materials and maintaining proper safety protocols
• Conducting site sampling and profiling as necessary

In addition to these responsibilities, the Environmental Remediation Specialist will also:

• Assist in field sampling activities and calibration of meters
• Climb ladders, scaffolding and into and out of trucks, tanks and other containers
• Work extended time periods, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Attend all compliance and safety update meetings
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance
