Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Assembly Technician. The working hours for this position are from 7:00 am to 3:45 pm. The hourly rate for this role is $19.68 and is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Assembly Technician is responsible for a range of tasks including wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. They are also tasked with performing assembly or wiring necessary for test preparation and final inspection. All tasks must meet quantity and quality standards as per assigned functions.
Main Duties:
- Execute assigned tasks based on instructions, drawings, and wiring schematics.
- Utilize various tools for wiring switchboards, such as wire strippers, crimpers, wire cutters, impact guns, drills, and pliers.
- Comply with established procedures for handling materials.
- Monitor job progress and report any issues or parts shortages.
- Adhere to housekeeping and safety protocols to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Lift up to 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as needed.
- Support other business functions as required.
- Collaborate effectively with the team and demonstrate a sense of urgency and independence.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- No relocation assistance provided.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must meet one of the following criteria:
- 1 year of electrical wiring experience.
- Completed technical degree in a related field.
- Connectors I & II certifications and 1 year of experience as an Assembler III.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of wiring experience.
- 2+ years of assembly experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of wiring assembly.
Position Criteria:
- Self-motivated and capable of achieving desired results with minimal guidance.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
- Proficiency in computer operation and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions affecting the team.
- Focus on meeting assigned goals and objectives.
