Responsibilities:

Speech Language Pathologist

Summary:

Deliver Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) therapy and associated services to patients while fostering positive interactions with facilities and clients, adhering to the principles and practices of Speech-Language Pathology therapy and Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines. Ensure high-quality patient care through screening and evaluation, development of treatment plans, discharge planning, and case management responsibilities. Maintain professional conduct that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation's commitment to quality service in all client interactions, ensuring positive rapport with facilities and clients. Comply with all state and federal regulations governing speech-language pathology therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance communication, cognitive-linguistic abilities, and swallowing skills of patients through effective speech therapy.
  • Develop a robust Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) therapy program.
  • Advance clinical expertise and professional skills through collaboration with managers, therapists, and other professionals, as well as self-directed learning and continuing education.
  • Maintain a valid state license and stay informed about relevant issues in the field of speech-language pathology and the healthcare environment.
