Responsibilities and Duties:- Plan and provide individual, group, and classroom-based therapeutic services to students consistent with speech and language goals.
- Evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of treatment/response to therapy interventions to identify student progress and/or determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
- Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions to determine eligibility for services.
- Develop clinical management strategies or procedures and diagnostic statements by interpreting observations or data.
- Coach and involve caregivers in the evaluation & therapeutic process.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other interdisciplinary team members to plan and implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students across educational settings.
- Provide professional development in assigned schools to help school personnel identify and understand communication deficits in students.
- Participate in in-service education and team conferences.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents about the student's therapy goals and educational needs.
- Participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process to assist in interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with communication disorders or conditions.
- Current, active TX state license as a Speech Language Pathologist, or be eligible for licensure.
- DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance.
- Computer-literate; knowledge of standard company software applications, internet.
- Effective interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient language and communication skills, including business writing and professional telephone manners.
- Reliability, dependability, and flexibility.
