POSITION OVERVIEW- Deliver comprehensive pediatric hospitalist services
- Attend deliveries, ensuring the stabilization of newborns and offering essential neonatal care.
- Perform resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill newborns
- Participate in all c-sections and requested deliveries, collaborating closely with obstetricians
- Work in tandem with obstetric teams to maintain a secure delivery environment
- Provide consultations for emergency department physicians regarding pediatric cases
- Develop, oversee, and implement daily patient care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribing necessary treatments and therapies
- Refer patients to appropriate medical specialists and support services
- Conduct rounds on pediatric patients as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with care management, nursing, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals
- Engage in patient education and collaborative goal setting
- Adhere to quality metrics and objectives set by the organization
- Ensure accurate and timely billing for all services rendered
- Participate in committee meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Board certification from the American Board of Pediatrics
- Certification in PALS and NRP
- Active medical license in the relevant state
- DEA License and state Controlled Substance Registration
- Strong skills in inpatient pediatric care
- Team-oriented with a focus on quality care
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
