Job Overview

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in the echocardiography department. This role requires daily operations of the echo lab, equipment maintenance, and report of equipment failures. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of medical ethics, demonstrate self-motivation, and continuously increase their knowledge of anatomy and pathology.

Salary and Benefits

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $5,000. Estimated annual salary: $85,000 - $110,000. Novant Health offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times.
  • Perform simple and complex echocardiograms, including pediatric echocardiograms, stress echo, and transesophageal procedures.
  • Evaluate echocardiogram data to acquire diagnostic information and shift workload to meet patient needs.
  • Work closely with cardiologists to obtain optimal echocardiography quality.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2-Year Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate from a formal cardiovascular program accredited by CAHEP, preferred.
  • Experience: One year of relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credentials, required.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Ability to effectively operate sonographic equipment.
    • Ability to evaluate echocardiogram data to acquire diagnostic information.
    • Communication skills and sensitivity to patient needs.
