Arbour Counseling Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate School Based Clinician to join our team. As a School Based Clinician, you will work in elementary, middle, and high schools delivering mental health services to children with a variety of needs, including trauma, anxiety, and depression. You will work closely with school personnel, other outside treatment providers, and families to provide a quality continuum of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess clients or family's needs and eligibility for services
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions in accordance with assigned client needs
  • Support clients through collaboration with client's family, school, other medical service providers, state agencies, other mental health services, and other community agencies and resources
  • Provide case management, referrals, and treatment planning for assigned clients
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the agency, community, and referral sources

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or closely related Mental Health field from an accredited college or university
  • Completed an internship during Master's Program to obtain credits
  • Required license eligibility with: LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT
  • CANS Certification preferred (also able to obtain after hiring if needed)
  • Nonjudgmental ability to foster self-sufficiency using problem-solving and practical skills
  • Familiarity with support groups
